Beans’ Available Story
Meet Beans (#2084), a 4-year-old, dark red bundle of energy. Beans came to Golden Bond from a shelterin Eugene. He was dropped off by his owners, but we are notsure exactly why. He weighs 70 pounds and is in perfect health. Beans is 100 percent housetrained and has never had an accident inside. He is a very loving boy who gets along well with other dogs and people. He spends most of his day wrestling with his three canine foster siblings.
Beans loves to spend time with people, but he is not a complete “Velcro dog.” Sometimes he enjoys going downstairs all alone to sleep. Other times, he just wants to curl up on the bed with someone.
Beans has a lot of energy for a 4-year-old dog; in fact, most people who meet him think that he is 1 or 2 years old. He has no trouble going on long walks or chasing a tennis ball for an hour. He would be great in a home with children over the age of 8 or 9, as he would love for someone to have the same level of energy as he does to tire him out. A home with cats is not recommended; Beans is very curious about cats and will sometimes chase them.
Anyone interested in adopting Beans must be committed to completing obedience training courses with him. He is an incredibly intelligent dog that catches on quickly, but he needs classes to help him learn some manners. Fortunately, he is very food-motivated. With a little work, Beans will make the perfect dog.
If you are a patient person looking for an active, yet sweet dog, Beans is the boy for you!
