Bao #3705
My name is Bao (#3705). I don’t like to brag but the reality is that I am an adorable little mixed breed dog. I weigh a manageable 28.5 pounds. My foster mom is so curious about my ancestry that she sent a DNA swab to Embark. We are both looking forward to having the results soon.
I am sweet and cuddly and love to be held, but only after I get comfortable with someone. I have a strong sense of stranger danger and will bark and back away from people I do not know. It took my foster mom an hour to win my trust, then we were bonded.
I am learning how to walk nicely on a leash and absolutely love to go on walks. I am fine seeing other dogs on walks but sometimes huff at the person. I am never aggressive, I just back away if anxious. My foster mom was told I didn’t like men, but the truth is I have the same suspicion of new people regardless of their gender.
I know a few basic obedience cues. I am smart and learn pretty fast. I dug one hole in my foster family’s yard, under a bird feeder, and this was my only digging feat in a week. (What can I say, it had a really intriguing odor and I needed to get to the bottom of its source!) I not done any more digging.
I plan on making a great pet for someone who has the patience to continue my training and socialization, and hopefully also has a fun dog for me to play with.
