Hi! My name is Albert (#2876). Thanks for reading about me. I bet I’ll like you because I have liked every single person that I’ve met since moving here from China in September!
I’m a fun-loving, affectionate, strong, and athletic boy and I’ve been told that I’m quite a handsome combination of my yellow lab and golden retriever ancestry.
A perfect day for me includes being around people, eating (everything that you’ll give me), going for a walk, playing, chewing on my Nyla bone, and just a little bit of rest at your feet (or in your lap …assuming you’re okay with me pretending to be a smaller dog than I am).
Speaking of smaller dogs, I have a Yorkshire Terrier brother that shares his toys and plays tug-of-war with me a lot. I usually win, but my foster Mom tells me I’m such a good boy when I let him run off and play with the toy while I get a treat. What she doesn’t know is that the one-on-one time as the center of her attention is the best treat for me!
I also live with two teenagers. I get so excited to see them that I often forget the manners that I’m learning and pounce on them. I also get excited to carry around any of the fun items that they may leave within my reach.
I must be mature for my age, since my foster parents think that my “enthusiastic” nature would make me a better fit for a home with older children than younger children. They also must notice my athletic prowess, since they think someone with an active lifestyle would be a fun companion for me (though I think someone who enjoys a good midday nap would also be a match).
Whomever my next companion or whatever adventure awaits, I’m sure that I’m going to have some fun! Life is good.
