Alana #3266
Four-month-old Alana (#3266) arrived from China on Sunday, September 29th. She is all puppy, all the time. She is learning to do her business outside and learning to play nicely with the dogs and cats in her foster home. She still chews everything in sight but is easily redirected. She is a lot of fun, but a lot of work, too. She will need a family that is willing to continue her training and put up with her puppy antics. She is doing much better about jumping, though her foster family often calls her POGO as she can jump straight up.
From Alana: I sure am having a good time here in the country with my foster parents and foster brothers and sister. I also really like the cats because they are just the right size. I try to play with them, but they don’t seem to like playing with me… but they do like to snuggle with me, so I take what I can get. Sometimes I get in a bit of trouble because I can be a “handful.” I just have a lot of energy and there is so much to do, and see, and chew. I love to chew. Hmmm, now that I think of it, I think I will get back to chewing. Foster mom, please finish this up for me I have stuff to chew.
Alana is a super sweet puppy that needs a lot of patience and supervision (just like any puppy). On her wish list is a parent that works from home or is retired because she absolutely loves spending time with her people. She also hopes for another young dog to play with. At four months she weighs about 30 pounds and is quite tall and lanky with large feet. She should easily get to 60 pounds. She is inquisitive and not generally afraid. She walks well on a leash. She plays well with our dogs, though she can be a bit rough at times. She gets along with our two cats, though she wishes they would play with her! She is very easy to redirect. She rides great in the car and loves to go on adventures. And she learns quickly.
She is pure puppy sweetness.
