- Fund for Jesse
- Jesse has big brown eyes that
melt your heart. Despite considerable pain due to hip dysplasia,
his sweet, sunny personality shines through. Like most Goldens,
he adores people. His foster mother has registered his tail as
a lethal weapon he wags it with such glee to greet you. At times
he has a goofy side, as if to say "Look at me! I'm a nut!"
He's very gentle with everyone he meets.There's nothing he enjoys
more laying his head in a human lap to rest it there.He loves
to cuddle, and just wants as much human contact as possible .
In addition, this sweet guy truly enjoys the company of other
dogs.(There are three in his foster home.) He's also very well
mannered for a youngster. He's trustworthy in the house- as long
as the bathroom door is closed- he has a thing about grabbing
the toilet paper on the roll and decorating the rest of the house....
He gets so excited to greet his foster family when they arrive
home that he hops like a kangaroo!!

- Originally purchased from
a pet store at age 3 months, he came to rescue when he grew too
big for his owners. His foster family observed that he was having
trouble walking and the grim diagnosis of bilateral hip dysplasia
was made at age 17 months. He has been on some medications which
have helped his symptoms some but he is still in considerable
pain. He tolerates the pain well but by the end of the day his
eyes and tail are drooping.

- Our Vet recommends hip replacement
which will give him the quality of life he deserves. However,
this is a costly procedure with a lengthy recovery period. His
surgery is scheduled for April 26, 2001. We are establishing
a special fund for Jesse and donations are desperately needed
to help pay for his surgery. If you would like to donate to help
