Artie’s Available Story
Let me introduce you to Artie (#2224), a one-year-old male. Artie was released from his previous owners to an animal shelter. He had quite a few mats in his fur and a skin infection. After going to the vet and getting the mats off and numerous baths, his skin and fur look great. He was heavy when he came in to Golden Bond (110 pounds), but now he is trimming down with a special diet for his allergies, plus daily exercise and thyroid medication. Artie is still a goofy puppy and does not have much of a clue of how big he is, so he could knock down small children or the elderly without thinking. He gets along with all dogs, big and small, and is fine with his foster family’s cat. Artie really wants to please, but he will need to have some basic obedience classes to help him learn how to do that. He does know how to sit, lay down and take treats very gently. Artie loves his walks, which are very important for burning off his energy. If you are looking for a young dog who wants to be with you all the time, please think about adopting Artie!
