Reina

Miss Reina may be lame, but you can't prove it by the gulls. Nothing makes her happier than hassling hedonistic birds down by the riverside. Reina may not be able to run and jump like younger goldens, but a quiet life has its own rewards. Even her cataracts don't keep her from finding someone to love.

Update: March 31, 2004

Reina has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We took her down to California with us. She wasn't her usual self and I didn't want to leave her with anyone else. She got worse with vomitting, not eating and more listless. Took her to the vet there and had blood work done. He called the next day and said she was in renal failure and the options were to do dyalisis or put her to sleep. I made the decision for the latter, not wanting to put her through any more. I'm sure she's in dog heaven with Lillie and they are playing together again like they did at first.
