Strider (#492)
My heart is so happy and full of love this Valentine's season because I am so happy in my forever home with Pam and Rich. All the hearts and flowers in the world couldn't make this Golden boy any happier! My new bed is super comfortable for naps and I have a great backyard to play in. Our house is near the park, so that means lots of good walks everyday. Wherever we go on vacations, it'll be the three of us sharing time and making happy memories.
Pam and Rich also told me that I am going to share an important role in their business as well, so that's pretty exciting. I'll get to make friends with all their clients and share all my wags and nudges and love with people every day. Sharing all my Golden love is what I do best.Update: June 5, 2004
Hello, I want to keep everyone at Golden Bond Rescue updated on how I'm doing in my new home. My prior family called me Strider, but I'm now known as Henry Dexter. Each morning is a new adventure. I wake up Pam and Rich (aka Mom and Dad)at 5:43 each morning, jump up on the bed for some snuggle time. Then outside for a brief visit before breakfast. After breakfast its a 1/2 hour walk, run in the park then its into the CRV and off to the dental office. Everyone can tell I'm happy to be there because of the huge smile on my furry face. I greet all of the dentists, assistants, hygienists, etc. then get ready for my real job of "Official Greeter". The patients now ask for me by name, often times bring me special treats, and even ask for me when calling (they think thats pretty funny). We go for several short walks during the day, sometimes go next door and play with the hound, Zoe. At the end of the day I'm ready to head home for dinner. After dinner, Mom and I go to Clark Bark Park, where I meet lots of dog friends, and play, run chase bunnies, and just have a good time. Then, finally tired, home to bed.
My new neighborhood has lots children, they even come to the door asking me to come out and play. I love that!!. I also have Mathew and Sam, Mom and Dads grandsons to play hide and seek, fetch, and tether ball. I also have my own swimming pool to cool off on hot days. > We've gone to the beach for the week-end, and I had a great time. We went to Seattle, and visited friends who had a back yard with squirrels and water falls. What fun!!. I spend nearly every minute with Mom and Dad, and give them plenty of love in return for all their attention.
Thank you everyone at Goldenbond. Diane, Henry's foster mother gave a wonderful description of our wonderful friend, and it was evident from that narative that he was meant for us. Henry has come into our lives at a time when there was a huge void left by the loss of our goldens, Hannah (14) and Bear (12). Henry has more than filled that void.
Thank you...
