Success story: Rufus (#403)

Rufus Rufus (#403) has a new home in Portland with Victor and Joanne and their two girls: Kathy (16), and Samantha (18), who is away at college. For animal buddies, there are three-year-old dachshund, Rosie, and three mature kitties named Muffin, Mimi and Xanadu. In addition, there's Toto who is a nine-year-old budgie. We'll bet Toto is the alpha of the whole gang!

A big thrill for Rufus in moving to his new home was the plane ride, undoubtedly his first, of which Victor said, "Rufus was very good in the airplane. He had the back seat to himself and was quite comfortable. The cabin of a 182 is quite roomy, and he could move around and change positions." We understand he is also leaving the country on the weekend to go to Canada to meet Samantha at college.

Rufus Joanne is taking him to obedience class, mostly for bonding because he doesn't need much obedience training. They'll both benefit from the experience. Rufus has fit into the family seamlessly.

Rufus, we hope you will bring your family to the Golden Bond picnic this summer. We would love to see you again — and the picnic is a lot of fun.
