Memorial: Haley (#323)

Haley Crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Wednesday, October 13, 2004

My girl Haley left this world on Wednesday morning, October 13th. She experienced a stomach torsion (bloat) during the night of the 12th. Unfortunately, I was hiking into the Grand Canyon when she died. If you knew her, please think of her for a second... give her a scritch behind the ears.

Please excuse me, as my heart is in a few pieces right now.

I miss you Haley. Hannah misses you, too. She looks for you when she runs out the back door, always expecting to see her nearly lifelong playmate. We always feel you near us when we walk under the apple tree, as the apples actually remain on the ground without you to eat them! You were the most tolerant, happy, and affectionate being in our house, and we can still hear your happy tail thumps against the floor/wall. Thank you, Sweet Haley, for all of the lessons you taught us. I'm so sorry I wasn't there to ease your crossing. Please forgive me. Had I any idea that you would be leaving at so young an age, I never would have left you for a moment. In my heart I am kissing your velvety nose...
