Success Story: Murphy (#1678)

My name is Murphy and here I am in my new home! It used to be clean, but isn’t nowadays….I’m a little over a year old but still a puppy at heart. I’ve been here almost a month, and so far it’s been one exciting day after another!

There are things here that I’ve never seen before, like snow and beehives, deer and cats! I love it all. My owners got word that I’m a bit of a runner, so they make sure I never get away. I’m learning that staying around here is really the best of all worlds!

I get to go running on long jogs almost every day with my owner. He thinks he’s running fast, but I think he could step it up. I’m to be on a leash most of the time, and I’m learning how to run with him and not ahead of him. I also know how to sit, stay, and lie down, but then, doesn’t every dog?

I love meeting other dogs, and I’m always friendly. I love riding in the car, especially when we go places like the bank and pharmacy where they give out dog biscuits. I really hate the car wash, though! I sure hope I never go there again! My new parents have a little pond. It sure is fun getting in there. It’s not always OK with them, though. I think it’s great to find rocks on the bottom. Sometimes I chew things that I’m not supposed to. Who knew that slippers aren’t OK? They’ve learned to put things away

My new parents just love me to death, and I love them even though they get tired faster than I do. There’s plenty of loving and petting, brushing, ball playing, and oh, did I mention toys? Life is great. My new parents consider themselves the luckiest people on earth!
