Woody (#1650)
We recently decided to become a foster family for Golden Bond and received a new family member. We were told not to fail in our mission. Don't adopt your first pupil. Well we failed and could not give up our beloved Woody. He is such a wonderful part of our family.
We have had such wonderful goldens in the past--Jake started us in the golden world and was our intro to the beautiful world of goldens. As we both worked at the time, we were lucky to get number 2--Maxwell Jetsen as a pal for Jake. Such love and warmth from both. As we all know time will end and we lost Jake at 10yrs old. Now Max was lonesome and needed a new partner.
We then became aware of Golden Bond and applied to adopt a new family friend. Before they had a dog available we found a sweet female that was kept in chicken coop. Shea was our number 3 and is as sweet as the come. Again age and illness for Max was to over take our family. Now Shea was at a lost without her companion. We meet a women on our daily walk that was fostering for Golden Bond and had 3 beautiful dogs. We decided to foster and help out where needed. Along came Woody and what a joy. He was nervous and pacing at first, needed some confidence. He is now happy and frisky, loves his older sister and is very secure in his forever home. My wife would love to win the lotto and have a golden dog ranch, but the winners were our dogs that love their lives.
