Just wanted to send you an update about me. I've been with my new family since the day after Thanksgiving 2007, when they received me from my wonderful foster family. That day, we had a long drive home in a mini-van filled with dogs, kids and people, and I did not know what to expect. But I could tell that these people really were excited to have me in their lives. They just loved the way I wagged my tail so hard it shook the seats, and the way I put my head in their laps and nudged their elbows for love. They think I am so beautiful, and so does my new significant other, Tanner (he has really fallen in love with me, but who can blame him?).

Ever since I got here, I have been super busy. There is so much happening in this household, and I just fit right in. I have three little kids that smother me with hugs, two big people that take me with them almost everywhere they go, Tanner, who loves to romp and play tug-of-war, and a cat who actually likes dogs (he plays tag with us). Every morning, I have to help take the kids to school in the car. I stand at the door and remind them all not to be late or forget their lunches. Then I have to take the mom for a walk; sometimes we jog because I have a lot of energy and I think she needs the exercise. Then Tanner and I get to work. It's our job to keep the dad's feet warm while he works in his office at home. We also have to do kitchen duty -- if anything falls on the floor, we get it right away (those kids sure are messy!). In the afternoons, we play a little ball and wrestle, and we have to keep up a regular patrol of the yard for those squirrels and stray cats that get in. I also have a big fan club of neighborhood kids who come over to see me and get some Golden love. My days are full, and my new family loves me so much. I don't know what they ever did without me.
Of course, I miss my previous family and my fosters, but I know they loved me enough to find me a forever home where I will be cherished. A big thanks to Golden Bond Rescue!
