Success Story: Casey (#1601), now Gracie

Adopted August 9, 2007

This photo of a wet and happy Gracie was taken at her Puppy Rumble party given by our friend Sherry to celebrate the addition of Gracie to our family. Nine canine friends and their people showed up for a hike followed by frolicking in Sherry's yard. Gracie cooled off in the wading pool in between rounds of "fetch".

With her beautiful manners and sweet, affectionate personality, Gracie fit easily into our routine. It took a couple of weeks for her to realize that she is welcome in the house and that she does not have to rush through the door. We are still working on discouraging her from barking for attention. She has lost weight and gotten in better shape so she can now go on longer hikes. She is always ready for a new adventure.

Gracie is seldom without a tennis ball when we are home. She delights in taking them outside and rolling on them. She loves to play fetch bringing us the ball and then rolling over to have her belly rubbed. Gracie will balance the ball on her paws and then roll it across the floor to us. She likes to "help" me with my yoga. Her cute antics put smiles on our faces and warm our hearts.

We are so lucky to have Gracie.

Many thanks to Diana for bringing Gracie into our lives. We also thank Dr. Shannon Williams for her assistance.
