Justin was living in the garage and back yard and when he came as a foster
dog to Howard and Patsy. He instantly found the good life of being inside
whenever he wanted to and sleeping in the bedroom along with Sarah and Mr.
Bailey. Justin is the boy in the back left of the picture. When he came to
Golden Bond he was 106 pounds and needed to lose at least 20. So the regimen
began of daily walks and limited food intake. It was helpful to find out that
his thyroid was low so once on medication the pounds began to fall off.
Now the scale reads 83 pounds and he is the ideal weight for long walks, chasing
balls, swimming after dummies and being the third dog in the 28 ft trailer. In
fact, Justin is the ideal dog, happy, well behaved and fits in well with our
family. All three dogs go RVing so losing the weight gave us all more room in
the trailer.
When Justin arrived he had no idea what a toy was or how to play. All he knew
were sticks that he broke off the bushes. One morning after a few weeks Justin
came walking down the hall with a purple bear in his mouth, much to our delight,
and to this day this is his toy of choice.
He loves his purple bear to death and it looks like it. Justin also loves to
chase his ball but mainly just loves to be with his new family. A great addition
to our family, he is a love!
