Brandy (#1510)

T’was two weeks before Christmas and all through the house… Two creatures were stirring…Buddy a large Golden and Missy – Barely a mouse. Then came the call from Golden Bond – “Would you go to this house?”

No – we weren’t looking for a dog for Christmas, but Brandy found us. Indeed she was a wonderful Christmas gift for Debbie and me.

Adjusting to life as a member of the now 3-dog family has been relatively painless for both Brandy and us. She seems to have very quickly integrated with the “pack.” It’s uncanny how her color, stature, and even her mannerisms seem to have been channeled through the cosmos from our dearly departed “Buster,” a Golden that charmed our hearts for a few short years. Brandy has done much to fill the void left when Cancer took our Buster about a year ago.

Brandy’s a bit of an attention hound and likes to be the center of attention, but she will settle for a belly rub with a free foot if need be. She likes to lead on walks, but is learning to be a little more patient toward Missy, whose 15 year old stubby little Pomeranian legs sometimes can’t keep the pace.

Our house is once again filled with entertainment from the ever changing “canine-dynamics” that a three dog family brings. I’m sure that we’ll have many wonderful memories of Christmas 2006.
