Buddy Holly (#1483)

We have had Buddy Holly (#1483) now just Buddy, for 6 weeks now, and we love every minute of it!! We found Golden Bond through the internet when we were looking for a 'playmate' for our 2 year old Golden Cedar....boy, did we find one! Mark and Cindy took such great care of Buddy, we could see how much they had come to love him when they brought him up to meet us. We too have come to share that love for Buddy. From the first day, Buddy seemed to be 'right at home' playing with Cedar and our boys, John (11) and James (9). On day two, he snuggled in and took a nap with big sis, Cedar. He enjoys having a variety of beds to sleep on at night as well as being brushed and pampered to death!!

Being a 'geocaching' family, Buddy has also proven himself to be quite the trail leader! Snow doesn't seem to be a concern, but water is still a thing to question, (he usually stands on the bank and lets Cedar swim alone,) maybe warmer weather will change his mind. He also gets along wonderfully with other dogs!!

He is a great companion as he will wake from a deep sleep to follow you to the next room just to lay at your feet and resume his slumber. He is growing steadily, and his tail feathers are growing in nicely! His nose is now turning pink to match his sister's! We are constantly asked if both Cedar and Buddy came from the same litter, as we can barely tell them apart these days!! We are working on his barking and jumping up on people, but that too is coming along.

We are so grateful to the volunteers at Golden Bond for their dedication, passion, and patience!! Thank you Mark, Cindy, Jeanie, and Diana for all that you did for Buddy and us!! We are proud to say that Buddy is finally HOME!!!
