Success Story: Levi (#1468)

Adopted July 1st, 2007

Hi, Everybody. It's me, Levi.  I live in Grants Pass now. It was a long trip, but I finally made it to my Forever home.  A lot of wonderful people helped me along the way. I'm grateful to all of them. I have almost three acres of mountain forest and pasture to run and play in with my two friends, Skye, a golden boy like me, and Dave, a rescued bloodhound. My favorite fun thing to do is when we chase each other up and down the mountain.  I do figure 8's and run and play and slide down the hill.  Mom says I'll have fun playing in the snow on the mountain this winter.  When we get hot and tired from playing on the mountain, we go and jump in our pond and have a nice, cool swim.  I try to catch the fish, but they're too fast for me.  There are a couple of cats here I'd love to chase, but I'm not allowed to do that.

When it's hot, I go in the house and lie down on the air conditioning vents and get cooled off. Skye showed me where the vents are.  Tomorrow, Mom is going to buy me something called a "Frisbee". I don't know what that is, but she says it will be fun for me.

There are three big dogs who live a little way from us. I can't see them, but when they bark, I can't wait to run outdoors and bark real loud and make sure they know I'm the boss and I'm here to guard my home and family and they'd better not ever come near here.  That makes me feel feel really important.  Than I run back inside and get patted on the head and told I'm a good boy to protect my family.

I sleep in the bedroom with Mom and Dad and Skye and Dave and the cats, but I have my own big, snuggly bed. I get lots of scratches and back rubs and hugs and kisses, especially when I go to bed at night. Mom and Dad spend 15 minutes with each of us and they always tell me I'm handsome and sweet and good and wonderful and that they're happy I came to live with them. I'm happy too.

Well, I've been playing pretty hard all day and I'm sleepy now, so I'm going to bed and get loved to sleep and dream about my fun day and all my other Moms and Dads and my big Brother who loved me and played with me and took care of me.  I love you all and I will NEVER forget any of you.  You are locked tight in my head and mind forever. Good night, Everybody. I love you all. Levi
