Success Story: Rowdy (#1430)

Adopted August 7th, 2006

We just wanted to let you know how our recent adoption of Rowdy is going. We adopted him in August and he is doing great! My boys wanted his story on your website to show everyone what a wonderful dog we have! When we first received Rowdy he weighed 109 lbs. I guess he had weighed 124 lbs. when he first came to Golden Bond because he had been eating table scraps and had not exercised much. He is now down to 97lbs and still going! He goes on walks with me or maybe I should say he actually walks me, but he is learning. And he gets a lot of exercise running in the backyard with Chase and Tyler. He is the happiest when he gets to go with the family in the Suburban (Which he could not get into when we first got him but now he can jump right in.) It doesn’t matter where he is going as long as he is with us. He likes to be right under our feet. From the first day we brought him home he would go to his bed and go to sleep when we would say “It’s time to go to bed Rowdy” What a smart dog!!

He has a thing about SOCKS! When we come home he has to find a sock and come and show it to us. I guess he is proud of his socks. He loves all the millions of hugs and kisses he gets everyday. I think he is making up for all the ones he missed out on the first 4 years of his life. And we will make sure he will have millions more in his lifetime. He became a member of our family in less than a day. He is such a love bug!!! We are the luckiest family to have gotten him. He is our Rowdy Boy. Thanks for all the help from Edrina the foster mom and everyone else associated with Golden Bond. What a wonderful organization.
