Success Story: Rudy (#1414)

Adopted June 5, 2006

Hi, my name is Bentley. I am the dog formerly known as Rudy. My foster family, Steph and Todd, called me the perfect golden. They were so good to me and I missed them the first evening I came to my new home. I prowled around looking for them. Then, suppertime came and after we ate my new mom brushed me until I fell asleep. I know I am part of this family forever. Life is good.

I have two little dachshunds as buddies. And a funny cat who can't decide if he likes me or not. I watch auto racing with my dad on Saturday afternoons. Mom takes me for long walks in the neighborhood in the early mornings and afternoons we take short walks around the block with Dad and the doxies. Evenings we all gather in the backyard to play fetch. And nights I fall asleep in my new fluffy bed next to Mom's and Dad's bed. When Mom and Dad have to leave me for a few hours, they turn on the radio for me. I prefer jazz.

I've only been here a short time and I already answer to my new name. I learn quickly. I knew how to sit/stay when I came here and now Mom's teaching me more things to do. She calls me her heart of gold. Dad calls me a real gentleman. So I guess I've proved that Steph and Todd were right. I am the perfect golden.
