Molly

Hi my name is Molly (#1384.) I am about 19 months old and when I was a puppy I had to be given up by a soldier who was deployed to Iraq. I didn’t end up in a very good place, until I met my foster Mom through Golden Bond. She was incredible and when she took me to my new forever home with my new forever family who live in Sammamish, Washington, it was super hard to leave her behind because she was so wonderful to me.

Well, the first thing that helped me was the huge greeting I got from this family because they had just lost their Golden who they had for 10 years. That family was so full of love and hugs it was amazing and I fit right in. I discovered that every Thursday night they host 35 high school students in a marketing program right there in the living room of my new house. Man, was that something. They all sat quietly on the floor and let me go from one person to the other…I’d never seen that many people in one place in my life. Can you imagine the belly rubs I got from that group!

So far I have learned how to come, sit, wait, leave it, heel and fetch. I am such a good girl and I learn really, really fast. My life’s goal is to please…I am a Golden after all! The only thing my humans are baffled by is this funny thing I do…when anyone comes to the door or enters a room, I go to find a shoe or slipper for them. If I can’t find one to give as my gift, I find something that belongs to them and bring it to them. I get a little confused about what to bring when a stranger comes and there are no shoes to offer, so once I delivered underwear from the laundry room to a stranger. My new Mom seemed a little embarrassed…not sure why that would bother her!

My forever family and I are so, so pleased that Golden Bond got us together. It was a great match and those people make magic happen. I don’t even want to think about where I’d be now if Golden Bond didn’t look out for us Goldens and I’d be sad if I’d never met up with my new forever family, underwear and all!
