Success Story: Hunter (#1321)

Adopted December 9, 2005

Hunter
I've now been with the Bob, Deb, and Sam (#989) for almost 3 weeks, and I'm settling in very well! I get along great with my new brother Sam, including lots of wet-neck wrestling and rope-toy tugging. I really enjoy taking Bob on walks with Sam (Sam is an old pro at walking Bob!), love chewing on all manner of dog toys, and think dinner time is the best (they say I've even put on a few well-needed pounds)! This must be my forever home, since they even made a Christmas tree ornament with my picture!

Hunter's "Available" Story

Hunter
Hi, my name is Hunter (#1321) and I'm around 4 or 5 years old. Golden Bond found me at my lowest point. I was at the Humane Society and hadn't eaten in quite a while. My foster mom came and picked up all 40 pounds of me and lifted me into the back of her car. Life hadn't been good up to this point, so I wasn't sure what was happening. I shivered, paced and panted all the way home.

WOW! I didn't know there was an outside AND an inside! I had to be on a leash for a while to learn the difference. The doggy door helps out a lot! My foster mom wants to fatten me up, but I had a hard time eating all the food they gave me at first. Now dinner time is great because I love to eat! I sit for treats and I love the dog toy box. My favorite toy is any type of ball! I am learning to walk on a leash and only get corrected once in a while, which is better than with every step! I love my foster mom and cry when she goes to work.

I would like a forever home with toys (balls) and lots of attention. I don't know how I am with little kids because I haven't seen many yet. I love my foster brothers and sisters (big and small) and the 4 cats here don't bother me at all! Still, I am ready for a new home and for the next step in my new adventure! I've even learned to jump into cars now and can't wait for my next ride! Will it be on my way to your house?
