Success Story: Apollo (#1277), now Polo

Adopted October 24, 2005

Apollo
Hi everybody, my name was Apollo (#1277), but my new forever family calls me 'Polo' and they are finally fostering 101 flunkeys. It took them a while to find the right dog, but my new mom says I was totally worth the wait. She knew she wanted me as soon as she saw me, and I now have a Mom, Dad and 4 teenagers to play with plus a cat. Mom says that other foster dogs will visit from time to time as well. Dad and Mom say that life is already hectic with 4 teens so lets add another to the mix (that would be me of course).

Life is great here, there are always people coming and going, mom says I have to keep 4 on the floor and quit jumping on all the guests, I just get so excited to see people that its hard for me to contain my enthusiasm. She says that we're headed to obedience training to help correct this and learn some other new skills with other people and dogs. It all sounds great to me!

Every morning I always get a nice walk, and then when one of the kids gets home, I get another walk, and sometimes another one in the evening. I love to go for walks. I have a nice backyard to play in, with a dog door so I can go inside and out, as I want during the day (the dog door took some time getting used to, but now I like it). There is a dog park close by that we go to. I was afraid at first, but now I just love to play with the other dogs there. In the spring, summer and fall there will be lots of hiking trips, camping and going to visit the beach, I can hardly wait!!!!!! Two of the kids play baseball and another plays softball so they are well practiced to play fetch. Boy, can they throw that ball far, but I'm a fast runner and I always bring the ball back to them. I will check in from time to time but wanted to let everyone know that I am happy and healthy with my new forever family.
