Success Story: Shyla (#1270)

Adopted August 10, 2005

Shyla
Shyla (#1270) is a lovely dog! We walk every evening through the OSU campus where she gets to visit horses, cows, and enjoy all the smells of the vet school. She learned real quick that treats come after the walk, and will go stand next to where we keep them just so we don't forget. We have a large fenced-in backyard and she has fun chasing the squirrels that dare to come into our old nut orchard. She is still settling into our routine of no routine. She has excellent house manners, a gentle mouth, and a mutual understanding with the cat. It is wonderful to walk through the door and have her there to greet me. The rest of the family is very happy with her too, but she definitely prefers me. I am amazed at how well she fit in and hope that she continues to feel more at home as time passes. It has been 3 weeks and she has become an important part of our family.

Thanks again for helping us find her!
Susan

Shyla's "Available" Story

Shyla
Shyla (#1270) is a petite (50 pounds) blonde golden with a delightful temperament. The vet says she is between 5-7 years old, but she looks like a puppy! When she came into her foster home from the Oregon Humane Society, she fit in really well with the other two much larger goldens living there. She gets along fine with cats, dogs, and children, having that wonderful true golden nature.

Shyla has a sweet, lovable disposition. She comes when called, walks well on and off leash, staying right beside you, is housetrained, and is very social around people. Shyla would do well with a family with small children. Because of her petite size and moderate activity level, she would also do well with a senior, just wanting love and kisses and not a lot of exercise.

Do you think this darling Golden Girl would make the perfect addition to your family?
