Memorial: Roscoe (#1229)

September 27, 2005: Roscoe Crosses the Rainbow Bridge

Roscoe
Roscoe (#1229) came into Golden Bond Rescue on May 27, 2005, and left us on September 27, 2005, while in foster care. When he came to Golden Bond, the intake coordinator, Patsy Nolte said that she had never seen such a matted dog in all her days with the rescue group. He had spent most of his time, during the last few yers, living outside under a deck, having had contact with other dogs only twice in his twelve years. His first several weeks with his foster family were an adjustment time for him, as he learned to live as an indoor dog with two other dogs. He loved mealtime, taking rides in the car, going on walks, and playing with toys. And, though he slept a lot, he began to show a playful, almost puppyish side. His eyes were clear and penetrating, and even on his final night with us, those eyes communicated a dog at peace. Such a sweet boy he was!

Roscoe
Roscoe, you will forever have a place in our hearts. You are missed and we are grateful for the lessons you taught us while you were here, and for the opportunity to love you.

Love,
Your foster family... Bob, Susie, Gus and Sunny
