Success Story: Buddy (#1188)

Dear Golden Bond,

My name is Buddy (#1188), and I am writing to tell you all that I am doing really well and enjoying my forever home! Here are some pics that my new mom recently took me while on a hike. I had a great time, all that fresh air and sunshine? And the wild flowers! it was like being in that field of poppies in the movie "Wizard of Oz"... I took a little snooze!

I think I saw my brother Rudy on the list of Golden Bond success stories, too. That must be him, because he looks just like me, and he likes to watch TV and movies just like I do! When I first got to my new home, my new mom let me watch the entire Kentucky Derby. No kidding, and I even stuck around to watch the replays. Plus everyone is impressed that I like to bring the alarm clock to my new mom in the morning when the alarm goes off. She really prefers I don't do that though, especially when she realized my plan was to change the time zone with my teeth so that everyone wakes up an hour earlier the next day. I thought that was kind of clever, myself.

I have been going to obedience training, which is actually kind of fun! I get lots of extra hugs while I am learning, and I am getting really good at "sit" and "stay". I am finally getting the idea of what "come here" means, too. "Heel" is still pretty challenging (who ever thought of that silly idea, anyway?!?), but I can walk more casually and run on my leash without any problems now. Although, don't tell anyone... shhhh... I still really prefer to chase squirrels when they are around but most of the time I am doing just great with learning other things.

Anyway, thank you so much Golden Bond, and I really want to thank my foster family, too for taking such good care of me while I was there. I miss you guys! And if someone could please say hello to my brother Rudy for me, I would be forever grateful.
