Success Story: Lucky (#1048)

Adopted September 25, 2004

LuckyThey named me Lucky (#1048) and at first I wondered why, but now I know. I was rescued from a shelter where I was scheduled to be "put down" and was sent to a small farm in the foothills of the Cascades. There I discovered the meaning of "luck." My foster family loved me right from the start. They took very good care of me, fed me regularly, took me to the vet, walked me, and amazingly played with me. I learned a whole new way of life. Even when I did not understand the rules and did a "bad" thing they corrected me with love and understanding. I learned a whole lot including that I could trust people.

The next "lucky" thing that happened was when I met another family that loves me. They are my forever family. I have a daddy Jon, a mom Ann and three of the greatest kids a dog could ever have: Alayna, Katie and Matthew. I also have my very own dog pal named Sam. They took me into their home and are teaching me some new rules and some new fun things as well. I even heard them talking about obedience school for me and even though I don't know what that is I think it will be fun. Sam is a very laid back guy so I am working on getting him to play more with me.

Since I came to Golden Bond Rescue I have really learned the meaning of "lucky" and I hope to repay all the "luck" and love they have given me by being the best Golden boy I can be. I really miss my foster family and friends but know that I will get to see them again at the picnic next summer. Until then, they will be in my heart and dreams.

A truly Lucky dog.
