Golden Retriever Rescue
For the Love of Goldens
Adopted May 2004
TLC has made a big difference in Molly's (formerly Ole) (#1017) life. She came to Golden Bond Rescue as a very shy, fearful dog after having spent the first five years of her life totally outside with very limited human contact. She was very frightened to be in the house or in the car. She was also frightened of the human hand, quick movements and leashes.
Molly is one smart little girl, however, and quickly began to trust humans under the loving guidance of her GB foster mom. After only a couple of weeks she became playful, much more affectionate and calm with humans.
Within a short time we had found the perfect home for our special girl. She now lives in a very nice house with Julie and Dick, two wonderful people, and one golden-colored kitty that has a "thing" for Golden Retrievers. Seems this kitty had Golden Retriever housemates in the past and liked them a lot. Under the guidance of her new "mom and dad", Molly is continuing to make progress, learning to trust and less fearful everyday. She goes on walks and car rides everyday and is encountering new and amazing things all the time. Her new home is very close to the ocean and a nice big golf both places to run and be the happy golden dog that she is meant to be.
Another wonderful success story for Golden Bond!!
Update September 28, 2004
Just wanted to update you on Molly. She is doing great. She is so much more confident now. We just came back from three weeks in Seattle at our daughter's which is just across from Magnuson Park where they have a wonderful dog park and we were there twice a day for three weeks and Molly learned how to be sociable with dogs and people. We took her to several different places visiting friends and she was always a perfect lady. She has also been to Wyoming with us to visit her not so pleasant cousin who came from Ghana and they actually got along quite well. We are so proud of her and she is truly a delight to have around.
